When you install the App, we are automatically able to access certain types of information from your Shopify account to facilitate our service offering. This information includes orders and products as they relate to orders users wish to return. Additionally, we collect the following types of personal information from you and/or your customers once they use the App: Order ID, Name, Email Address, Phone Number, Shipping Address, Bank Information, and all other information relevant to a user returning/exchanging items. Such information is stored long term for record keeping purposes, analytics, and services like fraud detection/prevention.
In addition to user provided information, we also collect information about individuals who visit your store, such as their IP address, web browser details, time zone, date/time of access, and information about the cookies installed on the particular device. This information is stored in technical log files and used for operational support purposes like troubleshooting. These log files exist for a short time (days) before being deleted from the system.
We use the personal information we collect from you and your customers in order to provide the Service and to operate the App. Additionally, we use this personal information to: Communicate with you; Optimize or improve the App; and Provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.
As an App that facilitates returns, some of the user provided information must be shared with third parties. For example, address and contact information are shared with 3rd party logistics providers to create return shipping orders. Such information is only as shared as is necessary to provide our services.
Finally, we may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.
When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information or the data is deemed as no longer needed.
We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website/app, your information is protected both online and offline. Wherever we collect sensitive information, that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way (HTTPS).
While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment with limited access. We keep up to date with any new CVEs and ensure that all security patches are applied as quickly as possible. Any sensitive financial information that must be stored is encrypted at rest and all passwords are salted and hashed with industry standard algorithms.
